Role of positioners

A positioner is a device used for positioning objects during welding, abrasive treatment or construction. The U-type positioners help maintain constant distance at the entire axis of the positioner’s rotation, thus facilitating robot’s access to the welded surfaces, which makes them an ideal solution for welding objects with complicated geometry. Due to additional axes of rotation, controlled by the same servos which control the robot’s movements, it is possible to position the welded object quickly and precisely, ensuring that the welds are done in the correct position, which improves their quality and shortens the welding time.
